Bexley District Scouts – Awards and Recognition Sub-team

The Local Awards and Recognition Team as a sub team of the District Volunteering Development Team to support the DLV in the decision-making for awards.

The sub-team

• monitors all nominations with the Award Nominations Supporter also responsible for locally supporting/approving Good Service Award nominations submitted within the District.
• help support local award presentation events as appropriate.
• provide an annual awards summary report to the District Trustee Board.

The DLV or Award Nominations Supporter can approve the Commendation Award, the Chief Scout’s Commendation for Good Service Award and the Award for Merit without further approval.

The CLV has the authority to approve the Bar to the Award for Merit and the Silver Acorn without further approval.

The National Awards Advisory Group at Headquarters make the final decision for approval by the Chief Scout for the Bar to the Silver Acorn and Silver Wolf as well as meritorious and gallantry awards.
