About Us

Bexley District was formed in October 2011 by the merger of four districts within the Borough of Bexley.

The management of Bexley Scout District is split into two elements, overseen by the District Commissioner who is a uniformed leader. Delivery of Scouting to young people is managed by Commissioners and Deputy District Commissioners who focus on supporting Group Leadership Teams, delivery of the national programme, youth events and activities.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
