“The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well.” – Pierre de Coubertin (founder of the modern Olympic Games)

MESHIANS are you ready………

MESH, properly known as M*E*S*H (it stands for Mixing Explorer Scout Holiday). The origins of MESH started in 2005 with Chislehurst District.  The camp is devised to encourage Explorers from different Units to get to know each other and take part in plenty of fun and adventurous activities. MESH is open to all Explorers from Bromley plus units in Bexley and outside of the County. The aim is for a weekend where Explorer Leaders can sit back and relax and let the Explorers roam around to the provided activities while letting the MESH organising team take care of (most of) the rest.

MESH 2024 will be an Olympic themed camp and we will be channelling the Olympic motto: Citius – Altius – Fortius (Faster – Higher – Stronger) for our activities at this MESH. We are taking over the Adamswell Campsite in Tonbridge Wells.

Units do need to provide their own camping gear and most of their own food. A themed dinner on Saturday evening is included as part of the price and will be cooked by our ‘Olympics Village’ team of chefs. All other meals will need to be supplied by the units attending. Units are encouraged to join up with other units to camp together if they wish.
